At the end of January, Jordan’s National Energy Research Centre (NERC) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia organized the 2nd annual meeting of the MINARET project in Amman. The meeting of the MENA Region Initiative as a Model of NEXUS Approach and Renewable Energy Technologies (MINARET) was an opportunity for discussions on the theme of “Access to Finance – NEXUS at a Decentralized Scale”. A workshop, including experience sharing, focussed on solutions to help local governments, institutions and municipalities access financial resources.
